The Alteco LPS Adsorber is a medical device that safely purifies the patient’s blood from endotoxin during extracorporeal treatment in the ICU.
The purpose of removing harmful levels of endotoxin in septic patients is to achieve hemodynamic stabilization in the acute situation.
Intensivists can use the Alteco LPS Adsorber as an add-on therapy to treat endotoxemia, sepsis and septic shock when infections get out of control and standard medical treatment is insufficient to stabilize the patient.
